The Latest and Greatest

Letin' you in on the latest stuff around here....

These two are no longer

Don't feel sad...she's not. We're on to greater things and when I say "we're", I mean her...kinda. The best statement coming from a 16 year old girl..."Ya know mom, being in a relationship teaches me more about myself than anything else". It brought tears to my eyes...seriously!!

What? Don't see the "I'm too lazy to put the Christmas Tree away" tree sittin' in the corner of my dining room? Yeah, after 9 months I got bored with it. I have bigger plans for my tree friend.

Went to an Estate Sale and although this wine rack wasn't for sale...I actually spied it out in the backyard through a window, they sold it to me .....for $5. Yippeee!!!! Gonna clean it up and put it on my front porch.

Celebrated my mother in law Elizabeth's Birthday

and her never aging son...my husband. A good time was had by all...by 9 pm~

  1. My daughter dumped her beau before leaving for college. He was her first steady. They are too young for anything too serious. Or was it cause I liked him? Ya never know. I spose I wasted my I have a gun, 5 acres and a shovel speech.

  2. Hi Bunny, happy belated to Eric. My son turns 15 day. The younger one will be 12 in 23 days. And our 16th anniversary is in 17 days. One of my best friends turns 50 on the 16th. My kids wanted to know why so many people have October birthdays. I told them it was because in January, mommies and daddies were staying inside together because it was winter time and they needed to stay warm. ha! They just looked at me like I am crazy.

Sounds like your daughter has a good head on her shoulders. Hope you are having a great weekend! :) Tammy

  10. You must be so proud of Raquel...making sound decisions and growing up! Happy birthdays to all your kin. Thank you for your sweet words today. Yep, I reckon a top hat will be appropriate to wear while caretaking family members!?! At least it will be entertaining as I shuffle, hop, step. I will live vicariously through my blogging buddies as my blog quietly takes a back seat. Have a great week! ~ Angela

  13. Hi Bunny: All my kids broke up with their boyfriend or girlfriend, in their senior year. Maybe it is something that just happens in high school. I am glad your daughter took it so well. Can't wait to see what you are going to do with that wine rack. Blessings, Martha

  14. Bunny,
Your tears are understandable. I am sure they are also tears of gratitude that your daughter has turned out the way she has, and that is a reflection you both as parents.

Please Eric a happy birthday for me.
