57 Times

Time marches on and this will be my 57th Christmas...Big shout out to the Mayans for getting it wrong!  Either life was easier when I was 10 years old, anticipating my little Sony transistor radio that I circled in the Sears "Magic" catalog or my mind is playing senior moment games in my head.

I used to help make tamales, now I can't eat them.  I loved gazing upon Ribbon Christmas candy, now you can't find it. The ornaments that we hung are now Vintage and back in the day, no one heard of Gift Cards.

But 57 years later, I have an amazing husband, 2 kind and fun daughters, 3 squirrely grandsons that I love to pieces and family and friends that are the glue that keeps me together and happy.

(this is what I grew up with)

~I am wishing everyone of you a very Merry Christmas and many more memories in the making~

  1. Merry Christmas, Bunny & Family!

PS: I saw some of that ribbon candy at Target! Hubby pointed it out, because we both remember it from when we were young.

    1. Oops, it was Walmart. It was called Sevigny's Thin Ribbon Candy.

  2. This post made me smile, cause I can relate.
Thankfully, we never got one of those "tin foil"
    trees. :)

  3. We had that tin foil tree along with the color wheel flood light.

We also had a cardboard Fireplace with fake fire we st up each year.

    It was great.

I got a Panasonic AM/FM radio as a youngin. Wish I still had it.

I hope you guys have a truly blessed Christmas.

  4. Bunney Honey I sure have missed you! First thing I thought when I opened up your site is that Bunny is still creating the cutest headboards and backgrounds.
I always loved seeing what you would come up with next.
Time does march on and girl friend I have a few more years on you for enjoying the holidays.
Hope your doing well and taking care of you.
    Think of you often

  5. Oh you are right! It was simpler...not so perfect & that's what made it so wonderful!

& you are right cards....what ever happened to picking out something special for someone you love :)

    Love this post Bunny!

  6. Hey Bunny, you're not blogging -- what's happening? Thanks for stopping by my corner of the world. All is pretty much the same -- except Yusef is preparing to go to college this summer -- Colorado. Yikes! Take care, Tammy

  7. Miss your blog but I totally get it ! :) But thanks for stopping by! If I don't traips through the snow with all those kids then I would have to be stuck home with them...& then they would mess up the house :) Again... :)

  8. Bunny I forgot to mention that I have freckled burn marks from frying that chicken! It was scary! I am actually glad no one liked it! :)

  9. Hey Bunny Honey its me again. I have thought of you often wondering if your okay.
Hope your well and I miss you.

  10. Bunny, have you stopped blogging? I need advice!

  11. I am trying to set the world record for most times I comment one one post ....most times anyone comments on a post! :) But I still check back from time to time to see if there is anything you are just sayin :) But I do love that we are still friends ...facebook ones :) Does it get any better? ;)

Go 'head...say it already!
