It's the little (red) things in Life

If you told me I was obsessed with buttons it would be an understatement. I have been collecting them for decades...even as a child. Don't know what started it...don't care...I enjoy buttons

Can you tell?

I have a project goin' on and I needed to separate a few of them by color...

pink, blue, green

even the odd ones...pearl, gold, yellow, orange, purple and silver

I'm saving these...they are some of my favorites

but honestly, nothing excites me more..(well, maybe a few other things) than red ones

and when I'm done playin'...I'll show you what I'm up too

  1. I'm with you on buttons.I simply cannot resist them.Whenever we see them at yard sales and I reach for them, my daughter (who is 5) will say, "Remember Mommy.NO MORE BUTTONS!"Thanks for sharing.

  2. Oh! I love this post! My mom had a little ceramic donkey, that had a "basket" on the side and that's where she kept her buttons. I loved playing with them more than anything. I think I feel a new collection coming on! :) Can't wait to see your project.
    Happy Rednesday,

  3. My button jars were my daughters favorite *toy* when she was little. She'd seperate buttons for hours. Many lovely memories. Your buttons are gorgeous :)

  4. Well, I am just drooling over all your buttons! What a great collection!!

  5. I can introduce you to someone else that matches your button collection. She is even starting to inherit the collections of others that are downsizing.

Nice thing is she is my sister and I can always go rob her collection when one of mine goes missing.

  6. oh you are the queen of the buttons. I have some buttons that where my mothers that I love but you have a lot of button.

  7. That is a lot of butons! I know why you love buttons... they're just so darn pretty and just imagine all the loving hands that touched them... what history!

They are so pretty separated out like that, I can't wait to see what you've created :)

  8. I sooo get what you're sayin Sweetie.. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and COLORS,, like RED for instance..But,, I always hated it when I'd spill them all over if I got into my Moms stashesssss of buttons as a kid..
