A serious mission
I'm gonna be by myself this weekend, kinda. Raquel is going outta town for some FFA convention up north and won't be back till Tuesday evening...what shall I do? Yeah, I know what your all thinkin'...Me and Eric alone, no kid, worries, chauffeuring, negotiating, geting up early or closed bedroom door...but you'd be wrong my friends. This weekend my neighborhood is having it's 3rd annual "neighborhood yard sale"....and I'm already there. I even went to the bank today to get some change...I'm on a serious mission. So wish me luck and hopefully I won't come across anything I gave to one of them...lol Pics to follow...OH YEAH!

We have the folks come by that will talk you down on a dollar item then pull out a roll of dollars, prolly a hundred or so. If ya find a transmission for a 97 Dodge Caravan I could use one. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of the yard sale. I posted the same one today..
ReplyDeleteI know about yard sales. I've had several and have even had people walk away without paying. Some nerve..they must have wanted it very badly.
Good Luck--make lots of $$$
A neighbourhood yard sale! Wow. Sounds like so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if I get get one going around here...
WE don't have yard sales in the UK we have car boot sales, where we load everything to be sold into a car and go somwhere with lots of people doing the same! I prefer the sound of a yard sale in the sense of not having to pack a load up all the stuff but equally some of the people I have come accross at a boot sale I would rather not have near my house!!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the thrifting!!!
YEAH BUNNY!!!! Just west of my neighborhood in a cute little cottage section of town called Bryn Mawr, every first weekend of May the have THEEEEEE MOST WONDERFUL community yard sale and it is practically ALL VINTAGE AND ANTIQUES! My friend Julie from Gilded Moons lives there and last year I went with only about 40$ but I came back with the coolest vintage stuff. SOOOOOOOOO...I wish you FUN and luck and shall we see your wares when you return? I'll be here! Anita
ReplyDeleteHave fun Bunny! You deserve some peace and quiet after the other day. Enjoy the hunt. Wishing you much luck! And loving the new background and header ... again! Take care and best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteHave a blast for me, I'm stuck at work today, boo!
Hugs,
Anne

My new friend here in my new home and I went garage sailin' for the first time this year...raining, but it rains alot here, so doesn't stop most folks...got some great little scores, and had fun meeting so many new people and finding treasures...
ReplyDeleteI have always thought car boot sales were the way to go...not everyone has parking, etc., where they live, or even a garage or yard (or in my case, a landlady who would agree to it!)
Have a great time, and find lotsa good stuff...
Hey Bunny-Hope you grabbed some good junk! I can't wait to see what you found!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I am pretty sure my kid's grandparents are glad to see bo come & even happier to see him leave :) He's a rascal alright!
Love the pic! is that your hubby pulling your goods around? :)
Sounds like a good time Bun. Did you go to Cyn's yard sale? I shoulda called you, I didn't have a car.
ReplyDeleteHey again Bunny! Guess how this morning started? With my husband dropping half a canister of zatar all over the kitchen floor. Do you know what zatar is? A mix of dried oregano and sesame seeds and other stuff (depending on the country you are from) that is eaten with olive oil and pita bread. Yummy! Imagine about 2 cups of that across the floor. Guess what he was doing first thing in the morning?? Vacuuming. HA! Wishing you a great week. :) Tammy
ReplyDeleteHope you found a lot of fun stuff at the yard sell. One more day of peace and quite....right? or are you missing Raquel yet????
ReplyDeleteI had my last yard sale when someone tried to talk me down from a dollar to a dime. Now I give everything to Salvation Army and go out to lunch.

Thank you, for the nice comments about me on Maggie's Blogazine. I have visited your site before, love it and today I have become a follower. Good luck on the yard sale...lots of work but fun. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous!!! I love yardsales, nothing says good for the environment like reusing items and oh the bargains! Hope you plan to post photos of your finds. Our yardsales won't start up here for at least another 6 weeks and even then, it's hard for me to go with a 4 year old in tow.
ReplyDeleteHi Bunny, Thank You for taking a look at our blog. And thanks for the birthday greeting. I had a great time. I am also glad you like the bench. Have a good evening..Julian
ReplyDeleteOh how fun. I totally forgot about FFA. My daughter was in that years ago in Ohio. Thanks for the memory.
