Shhhhhh....

Can you keep a secret? No, seriously, can you? Are you good at it or do people run the other way when they see you coming knowing that your the closest thing to the daily news. Recently, someone spilled the beans to me probably knowing that I can keep a secret. I'm so good at keeping a secret that you don't even have to tell me to keep it secret....I already know I should. I know things about people going waaaayyy back that I totally forgot about and just recently remembered, but I never told anyone. There are things that I don't even tell my husband about because first of all, it's a secret and second of all, he probably wouldn't show any interest or concern...not that he's a callous person, it's just that he doesn't really get involved with some of the people I'm involved with....Oh Heck, sometimes I don't even tell him what's going on with our daughters just because he wouldn't understand. Going back to Jr. High and High School where kids learn to trust and be trusted is a very hard issue to deal with. Gossip spreads like a wild fire and is fanned with non trusting people who find it hard to keep the life and death secrets of teens to themselves. Usually those people eventually learn a lesson, either by getting in major trouble or losing trust with someone or people just don't tell them anything. I was one of those people who learned very fast that if you spread info your not suppose to, then people wouldn't like you and I soooo wanted to be liked...I still do. So anyways, keeping a secret is a good thing most of the time and as far as me telling you my secrets...well, that's almost impossible, you see, I am an open book as far as my life goes except for my weight....and that is a national guarded secret....I'm just say'n!

  2. I've always wanted to be one of those girls who could keep my private personal stuff private. That seems to me someone that really honors themselves. I, on the other hand, am like you ... an open book. WAY open!

  3. I am pretty lowkey, some might say an open book as I am pretty honest and forthright, but I do know where to draw the line. There are a few chosen few to whom I tell all and they are good at keeping secrets! It's nice to be the one others put their trust in because that makes you extra special, a great mom and friend! Several years ago, I started working out with my buddies Melissa and Renee and lost 30 lbs. Have kept it off ever since and preach to just about anyone who will listen to the virtues of healthy eating! Not everyone wants to have open ears when that conversation rolls around. HA! Blessings for your week. Tammy
