Outta pure laziness

Remember that artificial Christmas tree that someone put on the curb? Well, after it took me forever to take down and put away all my Christmas decor and clean, I didn't know where to store this addition. If you know me, I have a place for everything and everything needs to be in their place, so I had a bit of a dilemma....not a big one, but one none the less. Then it hit me...I'll leave it up and decorate it through out the year. I really liked it there in my dining room in the corner with it's little lights. At night we used it for a little night light on our way to the kitchen so it also came in handy. Plus I got lazy and figured I'd kill two birds with one stone and Voila'...

A Valentines Tree

notice that shabby chic picture I practically stole at a yard sale....it's perfect in here

Sometimes creativity evolves from laziness but what the heck...I think it look wonderful.

  3. AN EXCELLENT SOLUTION! What a great idea, Bunny! I took mine down, but I could have easily used it all year too; it was white and it just looked so soft and shabby chic. Hmmm....next year! I love the new look! Bisous, Anita

  4. WOW! That was sure a good deal! I paid half price for mine at Target, but it is about half the size. Did you paint the urn white?

    Talk to you soon ;)

  6. Bunny thank you for stopping by. It has been CRAZY here. Reba is better but, has been so very sick. And yes, I did finish one class in Round Top but, of course I didn't finish the necklace in class (no one did & that is not uncommon in this type class although that is a stresser for me. I want a finished product at the end) I have finished it enought to wear it. I added a length of chain on the back & need to make an S Hook for the closure but, I need to go buy a thinker wire. Until that happens I will just put it over my big head & wear it. I will tell you that photographing jewelry is HARD!!! And these cloudy days we have been having makes it worse. Either too much flash or not enough light. I will post it this week though. HUGS! Charlene

  7. Bunny: We need to talk! You are stealing at yard sales! What is next, girl? Taking candy from small children? Bunny, Bunny, Bunny, not good. (LOL) I have a girl friend who is so over the top with her beautiful decorating, who also keeps her tree up all year long. Each month a new theme. It is a great idea. Remember I love, stop stealing! 8. I love how you repurposed your new tree into a year round beauty!!
Thanks for snatching a background too, I'm flattered! I see I need to revamp the placement a little better so the designs aren't interfering with the postings. ;-)

  10. Bun, I'm just a little behind in the blog world. I started my new job and have been quite busy since. I love the tree and think it's a great way to liven the house and keep a festive mood whatever the season.

My creative friend. Keep up the good work.
