Curling

I must be outta my mind. I have become fascinated with the Olympic Curling Competition. I remember it from the last Winter Olympics and I was mesmerized by it then. The outfits, the techniques, the way the stone (yeah, I know what it's called) gently floats across the ice. What really blows my mind is the team member, brushing the ice hysterically in front of the stone like he was Mosses parting the Red Sea. The object of this sport and I use that term very loosely, is that you need to get the stone as close to the center of the circle (house) as possible. It's kinda like shuffle board now that I think of it. I did a little research because I didn't have a clue about this and found out it originated in Scotland. Ok...I confess, I was looking up a team member on the German Team There is a guy on there that is very handsome and I have a thing for Germans. Anyways, if you have a minute check it out. You know..I also have this attraction to Bocce Ball too! Hmmm...I like Italians too....I'm just sayin'

  3. Hi, Bunny,
I think that sport is very interesting, too. I love the Olympic games and have been watching them every evening. Now that I am home today, I am going to see if I can find some curling competition on tv. They have been showing skiing, skating, etc. on the evening tv. I hope you are having a lovely week and thank you so much for stopping by Bunny Cottage for a visit! Vicki

  6. You changed up blog up ... again. I can't keep up. Looks great! Curling ??? I thought that was something you did at the hair salon. Doesn't sound like an olympic competition. Very interesting! Hope you are having a great day. It's so warm around here. Had our a/c serviced yesterday as it just gets too stuffy. Best wishes, Tammy

  7. The UK curling team won something a couple of years ago so it was all over the news. It's very intruiging the way they polish the ice, but I can't say I've been particularly driven to follow the sport since, good looking Germans or no!

  8. Hah, you're so cute! It seems you're not alone in your fascination, it seems terribly popular with this Olympics, why even my 22 year old was talking about it as though it was cool - too funny!♥

  9. I'm loving the ski events & couples skating. Funny how everyone has a favorite event.

Thank you for your sweet words for my loss of precious Reba. Today is the first day in the 12 years I have lived in this house that I am alone. I had a friend that was here since Wednesday(she left this morning) & hubby is at work & I can tell you THE HOUSE SCREAMS WITH QUIET! Her rugs are still there, the food bowl gone but, SHE is everywhere I look... yet no where to be found. My heart is broken & I feel so ALONE! Friends like you with comfort & support are a gift indeed. Thank you!!!! Charlene
